What is The Holy Spirit? Pastor Ricky Alcantar
Pastor Ricky is a dynamic pastor, author, and speaker with deep roots in El Paso, Texas. Holding a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Texas at El Paso and a graduate of the Sovereign Grace Pastors College, he has served in pastoral ministry since 2010. As a full-time pastor, Ricky oversees vision, strategy, and preaching at his church while contributing to the Sovereign Grace Church Planting Group.
Born and raised in El Paso, Ricky cherishes the city’s vibrant culture, from savoring coffee downtown to enjoying films at the Plaza Classic Film Festival. His journey to faith transformed him from a self-righteous “good kid” to a passionate advocate for God’s grace, a theme that resonates in his preaching and writing.
Ricky is the author of Carry the Fire: The Miracle of the Spirit in Everyday Life, a book that explores the transformative power of the Holy Spirit. Recently, he joined our 915 talk show to share insights on “What is the Holy Spirit,” bringing his heartfelt conviction and relatable wisdom to the conversation.
